Elton John praises Madonna for her activism during tour.

The “I’m Stil Standing” singer, 76, took to Instagram to share his thoughts on the touching moment on the show.

On Thursday (October 26), Elton posted a photo of Madonna singing in front of all the photos and thanked her in his caption.

“We are deeply moved by @madonna’s heartfelt tribute during her Celebration Tour performance of ‘Live to Tell,’ honoring the 40.4 million people we have lost to AIDS,” he wrote.

Elton continued: “Thank you, Madonna, for your advocacy and compassion, and for raising awareness of the ongoing mission to end AIDS. With 39 million people living with HIV today, 9.4 million of whom are not currently receiving life-saving treatment, we must continue to use our voices and platforms to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to live a life full and healthy.”

In a tearful speech during her tour, Madonna admitted she doesn’t feel so well and is grateful to be alive after a terrifying hospitalization.
