Elliot Page is opening up about his relationship with his parents, including a loving one with his mother and an estranged one from his father.
The 36-year-old actor was accompanied by his mom Martha as he toured his Page billboard in the middle of Times Square on Tuesday morning (June 6) in New York City.
Elliot has just published his new book and has revealed many surprising details about his life.

“My relationship with her is the best it has ever been. I myself have had a lot to learn about so many things,” Elliot said. “But finally, when I shared my truth and told her about the changes that were about to happen in my life, my mother was immediately supportive. She educated herself. I think there was such a deep sense of relief, as if she was watching her son sink into himself.”
He Los Angeles Times reports that in the book, Elliot says that he hasn’t spoken to his father Dennis in five and a half years. This is because his father supports “those with massive platforms who have attacked and ridiculed me on a global scale.”
“When [right-wing author] Jordan Peterson returned to Twitter after he made a horrible tweet about me, posted a video, only his head filled the frame. Looking menacingly at the camera, he said: ‘We’ll see who cancels who.’ My dad ‘liked it,’” Elliot said.
