Elliot Page is back on the red carpet for her film career!
The 36-year-old actor attended the premiere of his film Near youhis first feature film in six years, in the Toronto International Film Festival 2023 on Sunday (September 10) in Toronto, Canada.
In Near you, “Sam (Page) hasn’t been home since his transition, and after four years in Toronto, he makes the long-dreaded trip back to Cobourg for his father’s birthday. On the train, he runs into Katherine (Hillary Baack), a high school friend who now has a complicated life of her own, and her unresolved feelings from her past begin to rise to the surface.
Elliot was joined at the premiere by Hillary and her director Dominic Savage.
In a new interview, Elliot talked about returning to the big screen and making a film that had very little dialogue in the script and was mostly improvised.

“This was absolutely exciting every day. Because of the process, I’ve never done anything like this before. The script has a description and only that. There is no dialogue. You enter each scene totally naked. I found him incredibly intimidating before filming. I thought, ‘I’m going to be a big disappointment to Dominic.’ What am I doing? I can’t improvise!’ Our longest take was 53 minutes. It’s like a dance. You are really existing in it. I got tired within a few moments but I felt incredibly excited,” Elliot said. Variety.
