Dushyant Chautala is an Indian politician from Haryana. He is the founder of Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) and Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana.

Dushyant Chautala was born on Sunday, 3 April 1988 (age 35 years; as in 2023) in Daroli, Hisar, Haryana. His zodiac sign is Aries. He did his schooling from St. Mary’s School in Hisar, Haryana and Lawrence School in Sanawar, Himachal Pradesh. After this he went to California to pursue B.Sc. in Business Administration and Management from California State University. He returned to India to pursue Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from National Law University. He also holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communication from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Haryana.

Family, Caste and Wife
Dushyant Chautala belongs to a Jat family. His parents, father Ajay Singh Chautala and mother Naina Singh Chautala, are politicians. His younger brother, Digvijay Singh Chautala, is also a politician. On 18 April 2017, he married Meghna Chautala.
livelihood
After completing college, Dushyant joined active politics. He joined the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD). His great grandfather Chaudhary Devi Lal had founded INLD and his grandfather Om Prakash Chautala is the president of INLD. In 2014, he contested the Lok Sabha elections from Hisar Lok Sabha constituency of Haryana and won.
On 2 November 2018, his grandfather Om Prakash Chautala expelled him from INLD. On 9 December 2018, he formed his own party Jannayak Janata Party (JJP). In January 2019, JJP contested Jind by-election and stood second. This was a major achievement for JJP; Because the party was formed only a month ago and they stood second.
In 2019, JJP contested the Lok Sabha elections as an ally with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), but they lost and could not secure a single seat. In October 2019, JJP contested the Haryana Assembly elections and won 10 seats. This was also the party’s electoral debut in the assembly elections. BJP had won 40 seats and could not reach half the mark to form the government, so they formed the government with the support of JJP. Manohar Lal Khattar was appointed the Chief Minister of Haryana and Dushyant Chautala was appointed the Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana.
Controversy
On 2 November 2018, Dushyant Chautala and his younger brother Digvijay Chautala were expelled from INLD by their grandfather Om Prakash Chautala. He was expelled for misconduct, hooliganism, spreading dissent and indiscipline. Reportedly, without any order or direction from the party office, Dushyant’s supporters were raising slogans of him being INLD’s chief ministerial candidate. Om Prakash Chautala said-
It was very difficult for me to expel Dushyant and Digvijay from the party because they are my grandsons, but the party is above anything else, and I expelled them for the sake of the party.
