Drew Barrymore is issuing a new statement.
After posting and deleting an emotional video message about her decision to bring back her show amid the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes in Hollywood, the 48-year-old The Drew Barrymore Show The host is now stopping production amidst a lot of backlash and criticism.
“I have listened to everyone and I am making the decision to pause the premiere of the program until the strike is over,” he began in a statement published on his social networks on Sunday (September 17).

“There are no words to express my sincere apologies to anyone I have hurt and of course to our incredible team who work on the show and make it what it is today. We really tried to find our way forward. And I really hope for an industry-wide resolution very soon.”
Drew also just lost a job opportunity due to his decision to continue with the talk show.
Prior to this announcement, CBS spoke out about resuming production on the show and supported Drew in the decision.
