Drake approaches Joe Budden and doesn’t stop.
Fresh off the release of his new album For all dogsThe “God’s Plan” rapper took to social media to ask the podcast host for a critical review of his musicality.
On Instagram, Drake reacted when Joe claimed he was selling out to appeal to a younger audience.

“@joebudden you have failed at music,” Drake wrote in the comments section of a post containing the podcast clip. “You left it behind to do what you’re doing in this clip because this is what really pays your bills. To any artists watching this, remember you’re watching a loser give his opinion on his idea of a recipe for success…someone who quits give his opinion on how to achieve longevity…you changed careers because things that appear in your brain if they broke your life. check after check and the raps you write had 450 men showing up at your shows in dusty Enyce jeans to ruin their faces with Mood Muzik 29 and pretend you’re the goat…”
Drake went on to write, “Please to any artist who is doing what they believe is right, don’t let these opinions affect your thinking after the fact…this guy is the perfect example of frustration and surrender. You retired and we never hung up your jersey, we didn’t even remember your number.”
“We know you for doing this… you retired from rap not because you achieved everything you needed to but because it wasn’t working for you. I never want anyone in the generations to think that ‘everyone is entitled to their opinion’ is a real thing… this is a man who projects his own hatred onto himself and the fact that I did and continue to do everything he he wanted to do for himself. If you need him, put in simpler terms, I have a 767…he owns a modest home in the 973 and flies first class on special occasions,” he concluded.
Joe responded kindly and wrote, “Sooner or later you will grow up… Father Time is undefeated.”
However, fans overall are giving Drake the W for how he handled the situation.
