He did his schooling from Delhi Public School, RK Puram, New Delhi. She was good in studies during her school days and topped her 12th class board exams. Talking about this in an interview he said,

I got CGPA of 10.0 in class 10 with PCMB stream and 98.2% marks in class 12 exam.

Meanwhile, he also joined the Goethe Institute, New Delhi, to pursue courses in the German language. After completing her schooling, she joined Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), Delhi, to pursue MBBS, where she emerged as a gold medalist. As an MBBS student, she interned at Lok Nayak Hospital, Delhi. When she was in her third year of college, Shagun finished her internship and started preparing for the NEET PG 2022 exam. He secured All India Rank 1 in the examination in his first attempt. In May 2022, he secured 13th rank in INI-CET. Apparently, she comes from a family without a doctor. Talking about this in an interview he said,

I come from a family without doctors, so becoming the first doctor in my family was a remarkable thing in itself.

NEET PG 2022 preparation

To prepare herself for the exam, Dr. Shagun attended PrepReader’s online courses. Shagun also attended live classes of Dr. Gobind Rai Garg for preparations. Sharing her preparation schedule in an interview, Dr. Shagun said,

I started studying for NEET PG 2022 exam in the third year of MBBS. For pre-final and final-year subjects, I used to practice MCQs. Before the internship started I had the notes of all 19 subjects ready to revise.

Dr. Batra further said,

I focused on self study. I was able to manage coaching, self-study and college with proper planning and strategy. Marrow GT and National Mocks helped me a lot in preparing for NEET PG 2022 exam.

Talking to the media, Dr. Shagun said that adequate sleep is a prerequisite for any examination. While sharing his exam day strategy during the conversation he said,

Good exam practices like getting good sleep before the exam, having good breakfast, reaching the exam center on time etc. were my typical exam day strategy. Trust your intuition, most of the time the right answer is the one you guess the first time. Don’t lose hope, believe in yourself.”

Concluding his conversation, Dr. Shagun said,

The most important thing is that it is just a test, do not be disappointed if the results do not meet your expectations. Remember that your rank does not define who you are.

  • In her free time, Dr. Shagun likes to hang out with her friends and watch shows on OTT platforms.
  • Apart from studies, Shagun is also active in sports. He likes playing badminton very much.
  • During an interview, Shagun told that she had never planned to make a career in the medical field. He said,
