Anshuman Kumar was born on Wednesday, 12 July 1969 (age 50 years; as in 2020) in Patna, Bihar. He completed MBBS (Hons.) from Patna Medical College in 1992, and then did post-graduation in General Surgery from Aligarh Muslim University in 1995. After that, he did M.Ch in Oncosurgery from Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute (GCRI). , Ahmedabad. He also holds Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland (MRCS). Surgery for cancer of the head and neck, and esophagus, fall under his special area of interest. Having over 18 years of clinical experience in surgical oncology, Dr. Anshuman Kumar has himself developed many clinical and surgical modalities and protocols for the treatment of complex cancers. He frequently participates in public events and lectures on cancer management globally.
