Aditi Sehgal aka Dot is an Indian actor and musician who will be making her acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s film Archies. She is a musician who became an overnight success in February 2017 when she uploaded her singing video on YouTube and received 35000 plays in a very short time.

Aditi was born in 1999 (age 22 years; as of 2022) in India. He loved singing and writing songs from an early age. She had her schooling in India and later went to Bangor University, Wales to pursue a degree in music and creative writing.

Aditi is the daughter of Amit Sehgal and Shena Gamat. His father was a rock musician who founded Rock Street Journal which became India’s first rock magazine. His father had gone to Goa on holidays and died by drowning in the sea on 5 January 2012.

Singing
Aditi started her YouTube channel on 29 August 2010. However, her singing journey began when she joined some musicians from One World College of Music and started singing as a band. He talked about that experience and said,
It was interesting, it was with some friends of mine: a singer and a flautist and a bassist, guitarist. We all contributed to a lot of songs, so it wasn’t just my songs. I think it was a little more pop-oriented, but I can’t really put my finger on it. I don’t really understand the genre thing anyway.
She uploaded her first singing video on 22 February 2017, which gained immense popularity on YouTube; After which he created a good follower base. After this, he received a lot of cover requests but he rejected them saying,
If someone asks me, I just smile and say, ‘Haha, yes, it’s a good song.’ I only do things when I really feel like it.’
He released his own album Khamoshan on 16 July 2021 consisting of songs he originally wrote for his final year project at Bangor University.

In 2022, she has been signed for her first film project in Zoya Akhtar’s film Archies, which will release on Netflix in 2023. - He was trolled after the first teaser of his upcoming film Archies was released. Twitter was flooded with tweets calling the film a variation of nepotism. The film has also been trolled for being a launchpad for three Bollywood star kids with a story from a famous comic book.
