Dolly Parton has been the queen of country music for more than five decades.

However, the celebrated “Jolene” singer, 77, reluctantly accepted her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year. Now, she is capitalizing on this latest recognition with the release of her first rock and roll album, Rock starmarking an impressive addition to his extensive discography of 48 albums spanning his illustrious career.
Rock star will be released on November 17 and features Parton collaborating with other legends on her own interpretations of classic rock songs like “Stairway to Heaven,” “Free Bird” and “Purple Rain.”
The album also includes more recent hits like “Wrecking Ball” by Miley Cyrus, who happens to be Parton’s goddaughter. The two sang the song together in an emotional performance that brought together HA HA HA actress to tears.
Parton’s husband, Carl Dean, is supposedly excited about his wife’s next venture with the album.
Although they are rarely seen together, Parton and Dean have been married since 1966.

Despite Parton’s status, the two have insisted on keeping their relationship out of the public eye. There are only a limited number of photographs that show the two together.
However, the renowned “9 to 5” singer’s album serves as a public tribute to her devoted husband of many years.
Earlier this year, Parton openly admitted during an interview on Absolute Radio Breakfast that, despite being a famous country singer, her husband is surprisingly not interested in the genre.
“Country music was the one he liked the least, he liked hard rock, Speak clear confessed the actress. “Our whole life, and we’ve been together almost 60 years, every time I’m around him, in the house, in the car, he’s always playing rock songs.”

While creating the rock album, Parton collaborated with music giants such as Paul McCartney, Sting, Stevie Nicks and Pat Benatar. Those were some of the best mentors she had as she embraced the genre, but it was still a challenge to gain her husband’s approval for her new sound.
“In fact, I chose a lot of his favorite songs to do. [for this album]’Stairway to Heaven’ being one of them,” Parton said.
Then the famous country singer revealed how blunt Her husband’s criticisms were.
“I covered ‘Stairway to Heaven’ a few years ago as a kind of bluegrass, and he didn’t think I should have done it. And he said, ‘Are you sure it’s ‘Stairway to Heaven’ or ‘Stairway to Hell?’” Parton added.
In an interview with ABC News, Parton shared how her husband’s influence greatly influenced the creation of the album. The “Hello God” singer said that after being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, her husband “really made me make the final decision to think, ‘You know what? I have this great opportunity to do this and I’m just going to do it.’”
After much work, Parton’s album finally received her husband’s approval.
“When he said, ‘That’s pretty good,’ he meant it’s really good. And that meant more to me than anyone else to say the record was good.”
