Doja Cat Fan Pages Deactivate Their Accounts After She Mocks ‘Kittenz’ Nickname, Calls Them ‘Creepy’

Doja Cat is causing some controversy with her latest statements.

In a now-deleted post shared to her Threads account on Sunday (July 23), the 27-year-old performer called out her fans for using the name “Kittenz” to refer to themselves.

“My fans don’t name themselves s–t,” she wrote, per Page Six. “If you call yourself a ‘kitten’ or f–king ‘kittenz’ that means you need to get off your phone and get a job and help your parents with the house.”

One fan pointed out that the fandom name was something that Doja had chosen herself, writing: “??? only using the name YOU gave your fans.”

She replied that she had come up with the name when she was “an alcoholic teen.”

Doja also addressed a fan who used her full name – Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini – as their screen name. “You making my government name your sn [screenname] is creepy as f—k,” she wrote.

She went on to suggest that fans delete their accounts, particularly if they use the “Kittenz” moniker.

“What should I change my name to since you don’t like the term kitten,” one fan asked. Doja answered, “Just delete the entire account and rethink everything it’s never too late.”

Insider writes that in response to her comments, several of the singer’s top fan pages – including Doja HQ and The Kittens Room – deactivated their accounts.

Other fans voiced their frustrations on social media. “Doja Cat slandering her fans is crazy tbh cos [sic] I don’t understand why you would attack your fans for just giving themselves a name just like every other fanbase out there,” one fan wrote on Twitter, adding, “I know what signs like these mean.”
