Dodgers pitcher Julio Urías arrested 7 accused of domestic violence

Julio Urías has been arrested and charged with domestic violence, according to a new report from ESPN.

The 27-year-old Dodgers pitcher was arrested by Los Angeles police on felony domestic violence charges over the weekend.

He was released on $50,000 bail and has an imminent court date set for September 27.

In fact, this is the second time Julio has been arrested for domestic violence in the last four years.

The first time was in 2019 and Julio received a 20-game suspension under Major League Baseball’s domestic violence policy.

In recent months, some other baseball stars have been formally investigated and suspended for similar charges.

Yankees pitcher Jimmy Cordero was suspended and Wander Franco of the Tampa Bay Rays is being investigated for a relationship with a minor.

The Dodgers did make a statement regarding the situation with Julio.

We are aware of an incident involving Julio Urías. While we try to get all the facts, he will not be traveling with the team. The organization has no further comments at the moment.
