Disney appears to be following a similar strategy to HBO Max and other streaming services that have removed content in order to cancel it.
It was just announced that Disney will be removing nearly 30 titles from Hulu and Disney+ and taking an estimated $1.5 billion to $1.8 billion impairment charge.
“We are in the process of reviewing the content of our DTC services to align with strategic changes in our approach to content curation,” CFO Christine McCarthy said (via Deadline).
Titles will be removed on May 26.
