Nasty C was born Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo on Tuesday, February 11, 1997 (age 23 years; as of 2020) in Diepkloof, Soweto, South Africa. After his mother died in a fatal car accident, he was raised by his father in Durban, South Africa. He started rapping when he was nine years old and completed his high school education at Allan Glen High School in Roodepoort, Johannesburg.

On May 24, 2013, at the age of sixteen, Nasty C released his debut mixtape titled ‘One Kid a Thousand Coffins’.
Later, in 2014, they released a mini-album, LAME (Levitating Above My Enemies). In 2015, he released the mixtape, ‘Price City’, which featured a song titled ‘Juice Back’, which gained him considerable recognition.
Subsequently, in 2016, he released his debut album ‘Bad Hair’ under Mabala Noise Entertainment. Bad Hair proved to be one of their most prominent albums, reaching number one on the iTunes local chart and becoming the most streamed album in South Africa within 24 hours of its release.
On 2 December 2016, Ngcobo released an expanded version of the album ‘Bad Hair’ titled ‘Bad Hair Extensions’, which included four new songs including the lead single, Alou, for which she won various awards at the 16th Metro FM Music Awards. He has since released various albums such as Strings and Bling (2018), Zulu Man with Some Power (2020).

- In 2015, he won the Best Freshman award at the South African Hip Hop Music Awards held in Johannesburg. Nasty C was the youngest recipient of the South African hip hop award.
