Disney’s Andor is set to reintroduce Diego Luna as Cassian Andor in the Star Wars spin-off. The character was first introduced in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, explaining how Rebellion got the blueprints for the Death Star in A New Hope, and has since become an important part of the Star Wars canon. Disney’s Andor action series is a prequel to the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, focusing on the escape of intelligence agent Cassian Andor. The story takes place before the historic battle in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope that destroyed the Death Star.
Andor will last for five years, starting at 5BBY and lasting for two seasons. The first season, consisting of 12 episodes, will cover one year of Cassian’s time in the Rebellion, while the second season will last four years.

Captain Andor, the main protagonist of the series, was born on the planet Festus in the year 26BBY and grew up as an orphan during the terrible times of the Clone Wars when he lost his parents. After that, Andor joined several organizations against the Empire before being officially recruited by the Rebel Alliance.
