Diddy’s son Justin Combs named in human trafficking lawsuit before being arrested amid raid on his home

Before federal agents raided their homes, Diddy’s son, Justin Combs, was named in a lawsuit against his father related to sex trafficking.

Court documents acquired by Us weekly yesterday revealed that Justin and the veteran rapper are named as defendants in an amended lawsuit by music producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones. The outlet reports that the term “sex trafficking” appears 50 times in legal records.

On Monday, March 25, Homeland Security conducted searches at Diddy’s residences in Los Angeles and Miami. This was part of a federal investigation into sex trafficking. Justin, along with his younger brother King Combs, 25, were arrested after Diddy’s property in California was searched.

It is not yet known if Diddy was present at the property during the raids. However, shortly after, the veteran rapper was spotted at Miami International Airport. Justin and King were released without facing any charges.

The details about the legal filing that allegedly names Diddy and Justin Combs

Jones sued Diddy in February for $30 million, alleging drugs, threats and sexual assault over a year. Lil Rod alleged that while he was with Diddy from September 2022 to November 2023, he recorded the mogul engaging in “serious illegal activities” with other people.

Jones has also alleged that Diddy sexually harassed and assaulted him at various locations. These include his properties in Florida, Los Angeles and New York, as well as a chartered yacht in the US Virgin Islands.

In a statement, Diddy’s attorney, Shawn Holley, called Jones a “liar” and strongly refuted the allegations. “Lil Rod is nothing but a liar. [He] filed a lawsuit for $30 million, blatantly seeking an undeserved payday,” Holley said.

“His reckless mention of events that are pure fiction and simply did not happen is nothing more than a transparent attempt to grab headlines.”

Meanwhile, another Diddy attorney rejected Monday’s raids in which Justin Combs was detained. In a statement released Tuesday, Combs’ attorney, Aaron Dyer, characterized the search warrants as a “witch hunt.”

“Yesterday there was a serious excessive use of force on a military level when search warrants were executed at Mr. Combs’ residences,” Dyer said. “There is no excuse for the excessive display of force and hostility exhibited by the authorities. Mr. Combs was never arrested, but he spoke and cooperated with authorities.”

“No criminal or civil liability has been found with any of these allegations,” Dyer added. “Mr. Combs is innocent and he will continue to fight every day to clear his name.”

To date, no criminal charges have been filed as a result of the investigation.
