Sara wrote on Instagram: “Our industry is very misleading. While handing out awards, casting directors and agents make blacklists of actors and workers who post anything in support of Palestinians in Gaza to ensure they will never work again. While they encourage some of their own clients who have spoken out against this genocide, they are firing and letting go others who have smaller platforms.”

They continued: “While they reward ‘lgbtq organizations’, they are silent on those organizations’ ties to weapons manufacturers who currently support Israel’s military as it commits genocide against Palestinian lives that include LGBTQIA2S+ lives. I understand. The awards are shiny and people need to pay the rent or feel special and powerful.”

They added: “Meanwhile, we have passed the 100-day mark of this ‘war’ that has been recognized by many, including the ICC, as a genocide.”

It is the last lines of the title that have caught the attention of fans: “It’s amazing how performative so many in Hollywood are. Even more performative than the last character I played. 💅🏽”

Many wonder if this hints at anything about Che Díaz’s future in And so. Sara played Che in both seasons of the series Max. Che worked alongside Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and eventually became romantically involved with Miranda (Cynthia Nixon). Miranda and Che broke up.
