Later, Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh issued a statement on this issue and said,

Indian National Congress has nothing to do with the business of MP Dheeraj Sahu. Only he can and should tell the huge amount of cash allegedly recovered by the Income Tax authorities from his properties.

Other BJP members accused Dheeraj of misusing his powers and his close ties with Rahul Gandhi. Former BJP state president and Rajya Sabha member Deepak Prakash said,

This corruption cannot happen without the support of the JMM (Jharkhand Mukti Morcha) government running the state. There is a deep relationship between Congress and corruption. Whenever Congress has come to power, whether at the Center or in the state, there has been corruption on a large scale. Dheeraj Sahu has close relations with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

During the ongoing case, an old tweet from August 2022 made by Dheeraj Prasad Sahu went viral on social media, where he had expressed his views on the black money prevalent in the country even after demonetization.

Later, Prime Minister Narendra Modi drew attention to these raids on Twitter and promised to guarantee the return of all the money looted from the public.

Countrymen should look at these piles of coins and again look at the ‘speeches’ of the credibility of these leaders…

It is disrespectful on Modi’s part to return every penny of what he has looted from the public.
