Demi Lovato gave her fans an inside look at her relationship with her boyfriend Jutes and how he helped her let go of “daddy issues.”
The 31 year old Renovated The rocker was first publicly linked to the musician in August 2022, but they have been dating for a little longer.
In a recent interview, Demi gave an update on how they got together and what the relationship meant to her. They even revealed what the duo’s stance is on getting married and having children.
Do Demi Lovato and Jutes want to get married and have children?
“I’m in an incredible relationship. “My boyfriend is a year older than me, we are growing together and he feels very healthy,” Demi explained in The Howard Stern Showand noted that she “had a period where I dated older men and dated older boys because of my problems with my father.”
She went on to say, “I’m in a place now where I have an amazing relationship and my boyfriend is a year older than me and we’re growing together. He feels so healthy.”
“I can confidently say that my father’s issues are no longer something that’s inside me,” Demi added, via Billboard. “I think there are some signs of that. I’m with a partner who is my age, essentially. I look to the past [of dating older men] and think ‘that’s disgusting.’”
Demi also explained how the pair met in the recording studio and started off as friends. However, they felt an instant attraction towards him and built a “foundation of friendship” before becoming romantic.
What about marriage? “We’ve talked about it,” Demi said. “We’re taking a little time, you know? “I think it’s important not to rush.” That being said, it is so serious that the couple “definitely” wants to have children.
