Deborah Roberts has a new role!
The 63-year-old American journalist has been promoted to co-host of 20/20confirmed ABC News on Tuesday (Sept. 26).
The move follows her promotion to contributing host of the show a year ago.

Deborah will join David Muir as co-anchor and will also continue to report across all programs and platforms as senior national affairs correspondent.
She has been reporting for 20/20 since 1995, and was recruited by her mentor, Barbara Walters, to join ABC News.
She has previously reported for night line, Good morning america and World News Tonight with David Muirin addition to serving as a substitute anchor for Good morning america and guest co-host on The view. Deborah also received a Peabody Award for 20/20 The special “Say Her Name: Breonna Taylor” was inducted into the Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame in 2023 and has received multiple Emmy Awards for its domestic and international coverage of world events, including the AIDS crisis in Africa and maternal mortality in Bangladesh. .
