In DC Comics, protagonist Lobo is a notorious bastard because fans can never get enough of his costume designs. But now, in a new fanart, Lobo and the sadistic Bat villain known as the Laughing Batman have been brought together to create the darkest hybrid character possible!
Posted on Instagram by longtime DC Comics creator Doug Mahnke (@thedougmahnke), the account shares his professional comic work as well as fan art sketches of the characters in the series. DC Comics and Marvel. Doug occasionally uploads short animations of his art and is currently working on Swamp Thing: Green Hell Collaborate with writer Jeff Lemire and consistently deliver impressive artwork and fanart in a way many working artists can’t.
In DC Comics lore, both characters favor overly violent and all-out villains, and Lobo is less of a villain than Laughing Batman, since he’s a reluctant villain. Not to be confused with The Batman Who Frags – a dark multiverse version of Batman infused with Czarnian DNA – this version of the character is a brand new fan-made Doug when the design combines Lobo with the funny Batman — a Batman/Joker hybrid — and not just plain grassroots cloaked crusaders.
Laughing Batman makes his existence known
Doug calls this mash-up “Batman Who Laughs,” and he paints Lobo as if he just walked out of the nearest galactic gym, because this guy looks worse than Superman after being crushed. crush the Earth. Armed with a trusty chain and hooked weapon and smokes one of his signature cigars, Lobo gets some Batman cosmetics to spice up his look and sell his human remix. This item is perfect. With a grin, bared teeth, and a bat wagging across his chest, Lobo paired it with a bat-themed belt buckle, pointed bat gloves, and even some shoulder studs in one of the pieces. His most iconic feature for the Icy on Cake Style is part of this epic Batman redesign: a sharp metal bat-like hood!
But that’s not all; Sharp-eyed fans are sure to spot a familiar yet terrifying face in the lower left corner of the image: one of the wild Robins from Batman Laughing! So even though this is a character that has yet to appear in DC Comics (yet), Doug Mahnke (@thedougmahnke) explains why Lobo and Batman Who Laughs need to get their own hybrid looks ASAP , so let’s make it DC!
