David Foster gives an update on how his wife Katharine McPhee is doing following the tragic death of their son’s nanny.
Yadira Calito, the couple’s nanny who helped care for their son Rennie, was tragically killed in an accident at a Toyota car dealership in the San Fernando Valley, California.
Katharine and David were on tour in Asia when the accident occurred and he stayed behind to close out the tour while she flew home immediately to be with her family.

While promoting her upcoming Christmas album, David gave an update on how Katharine is coping with the loss.
“It’s been difficult for her,” David said. Entertainment tonight while doing a joint interview with his wife. “Yes, it has been hard. “She manages.”
Katharine responded “thank you” in response to the outlet’s condolences.
The couple returned to the stage a few weeks after the tragedy.
