Daniella Karagach and Pasha Pashkov of Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) revealed that they are expecting their first child in May 2023. The couple got married in July 2014, started dancing together in 2009 after. when recommended by general teachers. Daniella and Pasha confirmed the pregnancy to PEOPLE in a joint statement. According to the former, her DWTS season 31 dance partner Joseph Baena was not informed of the news and that “he’s been nice and he’s been nice to me, even though he doesn’t know it.”
Daniella said in an interview for the publication:
“We’ve wanted to get married since we got married and we’ve been married for 8 and a half years so we’re ready. We want to start preparing this year and the timing couldn’t be more perfect. I I found out I was pregnant on the first day [DWTS season 31].”

DWTS’ Daniella Karagach and Pasha Pashkov have won numerous international events together.
When their coach introduced them, Daniella and Pasha connected instantly. Pasha needed a new co-worker in early 2009, and after she became his dance partner, the two had a strong bond and developed into a sincere relationship.
In an interview with Dance Info in 2017, Pasha recalled her dance partner and the love of her life. He declared:
“My ex-partner was on Dancing with the Stars, so I need a new partner.” My standard instructor suggested I try dancing with Daniella. I’m not sure because we’re six and a half years apart.”
However, the native Russian added that regardless of the age difference, his instructor made it clear that it didn’t matter, which is why he invited Daniella to dance with him. After a period of practice, the duo quickly became close and felt that there was something special between them. Daniella started dating Pasha a year ago after they hung out at dance practice. After dating for four years, the latter proposed on January 1, 2012, and they married two years later.
The former dance partners won various international competitions and qualified for World of Dance Season 2 in 2018 before joining the cast of Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) the following year. While Pasha tutored Kate Flannery, Daniella danced with the band and met her partner during the third season of the Nelly dance competition.
In July 2022, Daniella and Pasha celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary and debuted as professional dancers in Season 31 of DWTS. The New Yorker also won the Mirror Ball trophy last season, along with NBA shooting guard Iman Shumpert. Daniella teamed up with Joseph Baena on season 31 of DWTS, which begins September 2022, and they are the sixth couple to be dropped from the show. Pasha was eliminated in second place after co-starring with reality TV personality Teresa Giudice.
Daniella revealed on Instagram in November 2022 that she is expecting her first child with Pasha. She captioned the photo of the couple cuddling her while hugging baby shoes:
“I love you Pashkov, we love you more than words can express.”
Daniella told People that she “hasn’t felt nauseous since day one,” despite the fact that her body is used to dancing. However, during the first trimester, the mother became more aware of her pregnancy. She stated:
“My body is so used to dancing and working that going in the opposite direction is just too much for it. “It’s really good for you to keep dancing for the baby,” says my doctor. I very encouraging to hear that.”
Before Daniella and Pasha announced the arrival of a new member, Witney Carson, another professional dancer, confirmed her pregnancy on the show earlier this month. Jenna Johnson, wife of Val Chmerkovskiy, is not participating in season 31 because she is pregnant. Daniella added that she will look to her DWTS family for guidance and support as many of them have gone through similar experiences.
