In a reaction video obtained by The Hollywood Reporter Schneider is heard talking about the documentary, which he watched in its entirety.
“Watching the last two nights was very difficult,” Dan Schneider, who played T-Bo in icarly. “Me facing my past behaviors, some of which are shameful and which I regret. “I definitely owe some people a pretty strong apology.”
Schneider later said that when he watched the documentary he could see the pain in some people’s eyes. “It made me feel terrible,” she admitted. “And sorry and sorry. I wish I could go back, especially to those early years of my career, and bring the growth and experience that I have now and just do better work and never, ever feel like it was okay to be a jerk to anyone, ever. .”
In the third episode of the documentary. Drake and Josh and Amanda’s show Star Drake Bell revealed that he was John Doe’s victim in the Brian Peck sexual assault case. Dan Schneider further claimed that he did not hire the former dialogue coach, who was convicted of sexually assaulting a child actor in 2004.
“When Drake and I talked and he told me what happened, I was more devastated than anything that had happened to me in my career so far,” Schneider said. “And I said, ‘I’m here for you.’”

Continuing to talk about the incident between Brian Peck and Drake Bell, Dan Schneider said Bell’s mother asked him to help her write a speech before the trial.
“She came to see me at that time,” Schneider said. “And she said, ‘Dan, I’m not good with words like you. And would she help me with my speech before the judge? I said, ‘of course.’ I did it and he [Peck] “He ended up going to prison and serving his sentence.”
Dan Schneider also reflected on Bell’s attendance at Peck’s sentencing hearing. The courtroom was packed with Peck supporters. “A lot of them (were) quite famous. Of course, Drake was devastated by what happened. And even more disappointing, 41 of those people wrote letters to Peck’s character, letters praising him for who he was and asking for mercy.”
He further said that crude jokes made on his various Nick-produced shows crossed the line. “All those jokes… The show covered the last two nights, every one of those jokes was written for a kid audience,” he explained. “Because the kids thought they were funny, and only funny.”
Schneider later admitted that the incident was probably the “darkest part” of his career. “And here’s the detail I really don’t understand. After him [Peck] He was released from prison and was a registered sex offender, and was cast in a Disney Channel show. I do not understand that
Schneider added that he wants the jokes removed from the shows. “I want my shows to be popular. I want everyone to like it [the shows], the more people liked the shows, the happier I am. So if there’s something that needs to be removed because it’s bothering someone, let’s remove it.”
Schneider worked for Nickodeloen for three decades before leaving the network in 2018.
