Dan McCafferty, popular singer and lead singer of hard rock band Nazareth, died on November 8, 2022 at the age of 76. Pete Agnew, a member of his band, announced the news. on Facebook, write:

“Dan passed away today at 12:40 pm. This is the most shocking news I have ever had to deliver. Maryann and her family have lost a lovely husband and a loving father; I have lost someone. My dearest friend and the world has lost one of my greatest singers I’m too sad to say anything right now.

McCafferty was a member of Nazareth from its founding in 1968 until his retirement in 2013.
