D.H. Peligro Passed Away At The Age Of 63

DH Peligro, the drummer for the band Dead Kennedys, has died aged 63 after suffering a traumatic brain injury from a fall. The band took to Instagram on October 29 to reveal the devastating news, urging fans to respect his family’s privacy.

“DH Peligro (Darren Henley) of the Kennedy Family who died passed away at his home in Los Angeles yesterday, October 28. According to police at the scene, he died of head trauma from a sudden fall. . The plans are being finalized and will be announced in the coming days.”

Peligro joined the Dead Kennedys in February 1981 and appeared on several of the band’s albums. He was also briefly in the Red Hot Chili Peppers before returning to his former band.

After his band confirmed the death of DH Peligro, many fans and contemporaries of the drummer expressed their condolences online. Users uploaded photos of the late drummer and reflected on his contribution to punk music. In a lengthy Instagram message, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea also mourned the death of DH Peligro. Rest in peace and let go of everything that binds you.”

DH Peligro rejoined the Dead Kennedys in 2001.

DH Peligro was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on July 9, 1959. In 2018, he told Los Angeles Weekly that he moved to San Francisco as a teenager and played drums for local punk bands, one of which was a member Regular member of a local punk band. Kennedy is dead.
