“With MS disease, it’s never a good day,” Applegate said. “You only have little Shitty days. People say, ‘Well, why don’t you shower more?’ Well, because entering the program is scary. You can fall, you can slip, your legs can bend. Especially since I have a glass shower. “I’m afraid to go in there.”

Christina Applegate also pointed out that there are certain things that others take for granted in their lives that she now finds very difficult. “Going down stairs, carrying things, you can’t do that anymore,” she said. “She is a fucking shit. I can still drive my car short distances. I can bring food to my son. Up, never down.”

Although she admitted that she didn’t have many friends who would visit her and help her, Applegate didn’t seem to mind. “No. I know that sounds like ‘Yay!’ “But I don’t really want to be around a lot of people because I’m immunocompromised. I have a friend who lives here during the week and she helps me take care of Sadie.”

Christina Applegate added that she has a caregiver on weekends to help when needed. “I also don’t want a lot of nervous system stimulation because it may be too much for me. “I like to keep it as calm and peaceful as possible.”
