Christie Brinkley Reveals Skin Cancer Diagnosis, Shares Post-Surgery Photos

Christie Brinkley had a recent health scare. She reminds her fans to get regular checkups and screenings if they have cancer.

The 70-year-old model opened up about her recent skin cancer diagnosis. She wrote that her doctor biopsied the cancer after noticing a concerning spot on her temple. Fortunately, Brinkley said her situation was not serious. The medical staff managed to diagnose and detect the cancer relatively early.

On Instagram, he revealed images of the procedure. It should be noted that one of the photos is a bit gruesome. Consider this her warning. The model wrote a fairly long caption.

She said: “The good news for me is that we caught basal cell carcinoma early. And I had excellent doctors who removed the cancer and stitched me up perfectly like a high fashion Dior 👍.”

He explained to fans ways they could reduce their risk of getting skin cancer. In particular, she encouraged frequent checkups and also encouraged fans to use plenty of sunscreen.

She said: “The good news for you is that all of this can be avoided if you are diligent with your sun protection!
