“You know, there was a time,” Chris said with a laugh, according to The Hill. “To be here [in D.C.], you realize how much it involves. And I’m tired… I don’t think so.”

“I think there are better ways to be part of the world without having to do the work that comes with being an elected official,” he added.

Chris added that he doesn’t want to be the face of A Starting Point long-term, as he is very vocal about his political opinions.

“I’ve made my opinions known so openly that you don’t want anyone to literally think we’re pushing something. The nature of the site is based on information and not my opinion. I’m not an expert. I’m not a journalist. “I have no right to be in this realm except as a voter, as an American, who wants to strike the only chord I have, which is my voice, like we all should,” she said (via Deadline).

Chris recently revealed his next role after taking a break from acting.
