The Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs were all the buzz last weekend when they met in the playoffs. While the game was an action-packed 27-24 victory for Kansas City, much of the attention was off the field.
After Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce scored a touchdown, his brother Jason was seen carried into a private suite. CBS cameras captured Jason drinking beers and celebrating his brother’s goal. The Philadelphia Eagles star went viral. Even Chiefs coach Andy Reid’s wife got in on the action.
“My wife saw it and took a picture with it,” Reid said. “Shirtless. He is the best, a great guy. Great dad, that’s what I’m most proud of. Great wife, kids and everything, so he’s done a good job with that.”
Fan frustrated by the presence of Jason Kelce
Jason Kelce was all the buzz at Highmark Stadium last weekend. He was shirtless, guzzling beers. He jumped out of the suite to meet fans. Overall, it was a good time. But one fan who attended near the Kelce/Swift suite says the atmosphere became “frustrating.”
“The fans were too excited when Jason entered the section. “I literally missed the entire first trip of the second half because he was surrounded by people with cell phone cameras and signs trying to get close to the suite,” he tells PEOPLE.
“It was a little surprising how many Bills fans were rushing to meet a player who played against us earlier this year, and beat us, as well as one who was rooting for the team we were playing. “It was all very fun but a little frustrating.”
Taylor Swift fan reacts after adorable interaction
Most of the attention was focused on Kelce and his beer-fueled antics on Sunday. But he was also the catalyst for one of the game’s coolest moments. A fan on social media caught the pro lifting a young Taylor Swift fan at the game to the suite’s eye level so the country music star could read her sign.
Fan Ella Piazza described the moment as “amazing.”
“Jason left the suite… and then he came here and then he picked me up and then I saw Taylor,” she said on the Today Show. “It was incredible”.
