Variety reports that Tracy Spiridakos, who has become a familiar face to viewers thanks to her portrayal of Detective Hailey Upton in Chicago Police, bids farewell to the enduring NBC procedural after its eleventh season.
This development is a disappointment to the dedicated Chi-Hards, who has just witnessed another integral member of the original team, Upton’s husband, Senior Detective Jay Halstead (played by Jesse Lee Soffer), embark on a new chapter with the military. .

Spiridakos, 35, has been on the show since its fourth season which aired in 2016. She started out as a recurring character before becoming a series regular starting in the fifth season and so on.
It has not been made clear whether Spiridakos will play a major role in its final season nor has it been addressed how his story on the show will end.
As Variety mentioned, Soffer may return for a cameo in season 11 to help close out Upton’s arc.
