Cheryl Burton is an American news anchor. The current ABC 7 Chicago reporter is also the first recipient of the 2005 “Sisters in the Spirit” award.
Early life and childhood
Cheryl Burton was born on December 25, 1962, at Provident Hospital in Chicago. His mother, Hattie, was a teacher in the Chicago Public Schools. She is 61 years.

Career and professional life
Cheryl’s television career officially began in 1989 at WGN-TV in Chicago. She began as co-host of a nationally syndicated weekly series called “MBR: The Minority Business Report.” Two years later, she moved to Peoria, Illinois, to work as a reporter at WMBD-TV.
After that, he worked for 2 years at KWCH-DT in Wichita, Kansas. Later, in 1992, she joined WLS-TV. Here she first joined as a weekend co-anchor/reporter. Then in 2003, she was promoted to co-anchor weekdays at 5 p.m. and contributing anchor at 10 p.m.
