Carlos was born on March 13, 1950. He was born in New York City, Manhattan. Therefore, Krauthammer is an American by nationality. His parents are Shulim Krauthammer (father) and Thea Horowitz (mother). His father was originally from Ukraine, but later officially became a citizen of France. Similarly, his mother was from Belgium.

His entire family moved to Montreal, Canada when he was 5 years old. Also, he has a brother of his own whose name is Marcel Krauthammer. His brother passed away in 2006.

He was a very educated individual. For his secondary education, Charles attended a private Jewish school called Herzliah High School. Similarly, for higher education, he joined McGill University, which is located in Montreal. After graduating with a degree in economics and political science, he also studied community studies in politics.

For that, he took classes at Balliol College, Oxford. Additionally, upon his return to the United States, he attended Harvard University to obtain his medical degree. He graduated from Harvard Medical School in the year 1978.

Unfortunately, Charles Krauthammer died on June 21, 2018, for small bowel cancer. A year ago, a tumor was removed from his abdomen. The tumor was cancerous and she thought the removal surgery was a success. However, a year later, in June, the cancer returned and the doctors gave her a week to live, as she had progressed rapidly and the chances of survival were really low. He passed away at a hospital located in Atlanta, Georgia. he was alone 68 years when he died.

A year later, he joined The News Republic as a writer and editor. Similarly, another achievement early in his career is that he had the opportunity to serve as a speechwriter for Vice President Walter Mondale in the year 1980. Slowly, he broadened his reach.

He began writing articles and essays for Time magazine. Charles also started working for the Washington Post in the year 1985. He was also a part of a political show that lasted for around 23 years.
