Chaoba Devi Onam made her sporting debut with her first major championship at the Asian Games 2014 in South Korea. In an interview, he talked about his experience while reflecting on his sporting journey,
My debut in the Asian Games was in South Korea in 2014. Despite our best efforts, we could not secure a medal. I doubled my efforts in 2018, yet the podium once again eluded us. At least it can be said that these setbacks were disappointing. However, the invaluable experiences and lessons from those tournaments shaped both my team and me, strengthening our determination and strategy. This year, our efforts culminated in winning the bronze medal, marking the first Indian achievement in women’s sepak takraw at the Asian Games. These experiences have equipped me with insights and skills that I believe will prove vital in the challenges ahead. As I prepare for the upcoming National Games and future editions of the Asian Games, I am more committed than ever to improve my performance, secure more medals and bring honor and recognition to my beloved country. ” Gmail
