livelihood
He started his Kabaddi training with Alanthankarai, known as one of the strongest teams in Kanyakumari district. Earlier, he received guidance from Coach Ravi at the academy where he was training. He represented Alanthankarai Academy in domestic and district-level Kabaddi tournaments.
Pro Kabbadi League
In 2014, Chandran Ranjith made his Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) debut in the first season with Telugu Titans.

After spending another season with Telugu Titans, he joined Gujarat Fortune Giants for Rs 6 lakh in Pro Kabaddi Season 5. In 2018, Dabang Delhi KC invested Rs 61.25 lakh to buy him for Pro Kabaddi League Season 6 and Rs 70 lakh to retain him for Season 7 of the PKL a year later. Ranjeet has appeared in 42 Pro Kabaddi League matches and led his team with 216 points. His career-high points in a game are 12. In Season 7, he played 22 matches and made a total of 262 raids, resulting in 118 raid points. In 2021, he was bought by Bengaluru Bulls for PKL Season 8 for Rs 80 lakh. In Season 8, he played a total of 19 matches, earning a total of 185 raid points and one super tackle. In a match against Patna Pirates, one of his raids was titled ‘Move of the Day’.
For PKL Season 9, Gujarat Giants bought him for Rs 30 lakh in 2022. In the league, he was selected as the team captain and played 17 matches, scoring 95 raid points out of a total of 162 raids. His auction price in season 10 of PKL increased from Rs 30 lakh in season 9 to Rs 62 lakh. He was bought by Haryana Steelers.
