‘Castle’ Actress Susan Sullivan Reveals Lung Cancer Diagnosis, Shares Post-Surgery Update

Susan Sullivan opens up about her battle with lung cancer.

The 80-year-old actress, best known for her roles in Castle, Julie Farr, MD, Another worldand falcon crest – recently took to Twitter to reveal that he underwent successful surgery after being diagnosed with lung cancer.

“We try to prepare for the small surprising twists in life with humor and hope. We’re moving on,” Susan first wrote on Monday (Oct. 16) alongside a photo of herself in the hospital.

He went on to say: “Thank you for all the lovely comments and concerns. I had lung cancer. The surgery was successful. The healing process is a struggle. Thanks, I’m glad you’re there!

Then on Wednesday (October 18), Susan shared the exciting news that she is now “cancer free.”

I wanted to share with all those friends who have taken this trip with me and that is you! I am cancer free! You can’t do this alone. It takes a family of friends and if you’re really lucky, a good man, thanks Connell!!! I love you,” Susan wrote, referring to her lifelong love, Connell Cowan.
