A new clip from the upcoming A&E and Lifetime documentary, Casey Anthony’s Parents: The Lie Detector Test shows Cindy Anthony struggling with intense anxiety during an exam about the murder of her granddaughter Caylee.
The documentary, premiering tonight, follows Cindy and George Anthony as they reflect on the murder of their 3-year-old granddaughter nearly 16 years ago. Cindy stated that she is convinced that her daughter, Casey, knows what she happened to Caylee in 2008.
As she and George continue their conversation, Casey Anthony’s mother is seen crying and clutching her chest. She then left the room while she claimed that she was suffering a panic attack. George quickly helps her.
Unfortunately, Cindy’s panic attack did not subside and George recommended going to the hospital. He later saw Cindy on the ground trying to calm down. George and Cindy continue to participate in lie detector tests.
In a separate preview of the documentary, George became emotional during a lie detector test. He was struggling to answer whether or not he withheld details about Caylee’s whereabouts.
Caylee infamously disappeared in June 2008. Her body was discovered months later and Casey Anthony was charged with her murder. She was later acquitted.
During his 2011 trial, Casey claimed that George disposed of Caylee’s body. He also said in 2022 that George faked Caylee’s death to make it look like it was his fault.
Casey Anthony recalled that her father George blamed her for the death of her daughter Caylee
In the three-part limited series. Casey Anthony: where is the truthCasey spoke out about Caylee and claimed that her father George was responsible for the 3-year-old’s death.
“I wasn’t feeling very good and I wanted to go to bed,” Casey said of the day they last saw Caylee. Casey put Caylee down with her for a nap. Her “I had her lying in bed with me. She woke me up [my family] shaking me and wondering where Caylee was.”
Casey Anthony said it didn’t make sense that her daughter would disappear by chance. “She would never leave my room without telling me. I immediately started looking around the house. I go out and look at where she might be.”
That’s when Casey said she saw George holding Caylee. She was soaked. “He gave it to me. He said it was my fault. That I caused it. But she didn’t rush to call 911 and wasn’t trying to resuscitate her. I collapsed with her in my arms. She was heavy and cold.”
Casey Anthony then claimed that George took Caylee away from her and immediately softened her tone. “[He] He says, “Everything is going to be okay.” She wanted to believe him. She took it from me and left.”
Casey added that she stayed with her then-boyfriend, Tony Lazzaro. She didn’t tell anyone what happened and she didn’t believe Caylee was dead. “My father kept telling me that she was fine. She had to continue following his instructions. He told me what to do. “I tried to act as normal as possible.”
