Through a gym friend, Avinash met Indian actor Chiranjeevi Sarja, who gave Avinash guidance about the film industry. Before giving the audition, Avinash did workshops on acting and basic confidence-building. In 2018, he appeared as Andrew in the film KGF Chapter 1. The film was released with the record of highest grosser with a domestic collection of around 186 crores. KGF1 is also the first Kannada film to touch the gross of Rs 150 crore, Rs 200 crore and Rs 250 crore globally.
