In his latest Instagram post, Mahomes reflected on how he took his 1-year-old son, Bronze, to the emergency room over the summer due to a peanut allergy. “Like all moms, my children’s safety and happiness is my number one priority,” she explained. “I recently received a lot of support from other moms and parents after sharing my experience with Bronze’s severe allergic reaction to peanuts.”

Brittany Mahomes later said that her two children, Bronze and Sterling, 3, have severe food allergies. “I think it’s very important to raise awareness about what a serious reaction it could be if it happened to a child,” she continued. “From my experience, I can tell you that a severe reaction may not look like what you think it should look like.”

While she didn’t share the symptoms of Bronze’s allergic reaction, she did say that she and her husband, Patrick, immediately spoke to their pediatrician about medications for future incidents.

“Your child’s safety is the most important thing when you are away from home,” he said. She added that it is very important to educate others on how to use the injectors in case of an emergency.
