On Wednesday, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes shared a clear message on her Instagram Story. She urged fans to “stay upset.” She even went so far as to claim that some NFL fans are obsessed with her.
“I take the rumors as a compliment,” he wrote. “The fact that you put my name on tables I don’t sit at shows your obsession. “Still upset.” Brittany also posted a video of herself, Patrick and her two children enjoying a trip, supposedly unfazed by any negative comments.

Mahomes had watched Patrick and the Kansas City Chiefs secure their spot in the Super Bowl with a 17-10 victory over the Ravens. Brittany, along with other family members, including Travis Kelce’s girlfriend Taylor Swift and her brother Jason, joined the players on the field for a celebratory gathering after clinching the AFC championship.
After leaving the field, Mahomes, accompanied by Brittany and her brother Jackson, were caught on camera walking through the stadium’s interior hallways.
Of course, then the moment occurred that made NFL fans clutch their pearls. Brittany asks a stadium employee, “Where do we go from here?” and she spins her finger in a circular motion.
There was no explicit evidence that she offended the employee. However, the video did not sit well with certain TikTok viewers.
“Mahomes’ wife needs to get off her horse,” one user commented. “She is too much. Much more,” another viewer agreed. Meanwhile, one TikTok viewer deemed the hand gesture the ultimate offense. “’It’s where we go from here with the finger twist for me,” they wrote.
In recent months, Brittany Mahomes has received even more attention due to her association with Taylor Swift. Mahomes and Swift appear to have a close bond, often sitting together at games the Queen of Pop attends.
Swift has been graciously invited to dinner with Mahomes and his fellow A-listers in vibrant New York. Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are also reportedly close.
