Days after rumors circulated about her relationship with criminal Paul Richard Soliz, Britney Spears seemingly dismissed the gossip by clarifying that she is enjoying the single life.
In her latest Instagram post, Britney Spears was pretty clear about her relationship status. “Beautiful Sunday,” she wrote in the publication, in which she appeared dancing. “The romantic, desperate realization that being single is wonderful.”
Comments on Britney Spears’ single life come right after Us weekly published a story about the pop star’s romantic connection with Soliz, who is her former housekeeper.
The duo apparently dated last year before calling it quits in September 2023. The brief romance came shortly after Spears’ now-ex-husband Sam Asghari filed for divorce.
“Britney and Paul are definitely together,” a source recently told the outlet. “He’s still in the picture. She doesn’t like him living. [Britney feels as though she deserves more attention, but he has to be there for his kids.”
Another insider told Us Weekly that Britney Spears was introduced to Soliz’s children and even took them horseback riding. “She’s great with [the kids]“said the source. “And they like it”.
The source also said that Britney Spears is fond of Soliz’s 7-year-old son. “That’s her favorite. “They just click.”
However, Spears’ team remains suspicious of Soliz, as he has quite a criminal record. Her past charges include multiple misdemeanors and felonies. “His assistants do not want him [Paul] around,” explained the second source. “They have made it clear from day one.”
“She is very loving and generous by nature, but he doesn’t want anything. He’s not there for that and he really cares about her as a person. [But] His management team probably thinks he wants to do something shady.”
The other source agreed, stating, “His team believes that at some point he will either want something from her or throw her under the bus.”
Meanwhile, the first source claimed that Soliz and Spears keep things casual between them. “[She] “He’s not technically dating anyone, but he’s sleeping with some other people.”

During his brief public romance with Britney Spears, Paul Richard Soliz praised the pop icon.
After his court appearance for alleged probation violation, Soliz spoke with Us weekly about spears. “She is a phenomenal woman,” she stated, highlighting that the singer is a “very, very” good and positive person. “She is a good person”.
Soliz also said that he saw Britney Spears and that she had been doing very well after her split from Sam Aghari. He also said the singer’s ex was a “great guy.”
The misdemeanors Soliz was charged with included disorderly conduct, child endangerment and driving without a license. For felonies, he was charged with possession of a controlled substance for sale and possession of a firearm.
