“The purpose of my book was not to offend anyone in any way,” Britney wrote on Instagram. “That was me then… That’s in the past!!! I don’t like the headlines I read…that’s exactly why I left the business 4 years ago.”
She went on to write: “I’ve moved on and it’s a beautiful clean slate from here!!! I’m here to set it that way for the rest of my life!!! Anyway, that’s the last thing and it happens!!!”
The pop star acknowledged that the book could stir drama, but that wasn’t her intention at all.
“This is actually a book I didn’t know needed to be written…although some might be offended, it has given me closure on all things for a better future!!! Hopefully I can enlighten people who in most cases feel particularly alone or hurt or misunderstood!!! Again, my reason for writing this book was not to dwell on my past experiences, which is what the press is doing and it’s silly and silly!!! Since then I have moved on,” she concluded.
One of the most recent excerpts from the book has to do with their 55-hour wedding in Las Vegas.
The woman in me arrives on October 24. Reserve it now on Amazon.
