Not long after Justin Timberlake’s anti-apology rant went viral, Britney Spears was quick to share her thoughts on the comments.
Just before playing their long-standing song, Cry Me A River, Timberlake told the crowd at his concert in New York City: “I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to absolutely no one.”
The statement was made just days after Britney Spears apologized to those who felt hurt by what she wrote in her memoir. The woman in me. She also praised Timberlake and said she was in love with his new single. Selfish.
But now things have taken a turn and it seems Spears is ready to retract her apology and even deleted the previous post. In one of her new Instagram posts, she reflected on her ex’s comment. “Someone told me that someone was talking shit about me in the streets!!!” she wrote. “Do you want me to take him to court or are you going to go home crying to your mom like you did last time?” I don’t feel it!!!”

The post, which has an image of a basketball hoop, refers to the statement Britney Spears made in December 2023. Spears revealed that Timberlake once cried when she beat him playing basketball.
This was after Timberlake said he didn’t want to disrespect her while she was performing. Cry Me A River. “Psss, I never mentioned how I beat him at basketball,” Spears stated. “And he cried… No disrespect.”
Justin Timberlake tried to ‘distance himself’ from Britney Spears’ memoir last fall
