A source close to the pop icon said OK! Magazine who thinks Asghari is “pathetic” since he tries to take her for everything “under the sun” during their divorce. Even though she was promised one million dollars for every two years of marriage, according to the prenuptial agreement, Asghari apparently wants more.
“She feels like Sam is playing ‘Mr. “Britney Spears’ card for all it’s worth,” the source revealed. “She finds it a little pathetic.”
The source further noted that Asghari believes he should be “adequately compensated” for everything he went through with Spears during their seven-year relationship. He was allegedly referring to her flamboyant behavior on social media, as well as rumors of mood swings.
“The exact amount he wants is being kept confidential, but he’s not happy with what Britney and her team have proposed,” the source continued. They also said the deal is currently “stuck in limbo.”
“There’s a lot of back and forth bickering,” the source added. “Things have become a lot more complicated than either of them expected… Sam isn’t in need of cash, but he’s willing to hustle and fight for the extra money he believes he deserves.”
Britney Spears and Sam Asghari were married for 14 months before calling it quits in August 2023. They do not share children, but Spears suffered a miscarriage early in their marriage.

Meanwhile, Sam Asghari recently spoke with PEOPLE about his divorce from Britney Spears.
“It was a blessing to be able to share a life with someone for a long time,” Asghari said of Spears. “And people grow up and move on.”
Asghari filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. She also said that she has no hard feelings towards her famous ex and continues to celebrate the time they spent together. “I’ve always hated it when people left a certain relationship and at some point, they said they loved each other and sat at the same table and ate. [together] – so I never understood when people break up [and] “They talk badly about each other,” he explained.
“That’s something I will never do because I had nothing but an amazing experience and a great life,” Britney Spears’ ex said. “And that will always be a part of my life, a chapter of my life.”
He then talked about his plans when he turned 30. “I used to think that people who were 30 were really old when I was in high school,” she said. “But every person I talk to, the older they get, the more they enjoy life. Because with age comes wisdom and experiences. And I think life experiences are beautiful.”
Asghari went on to say that he is very excited to simply be alive. “I always have the most positive mindset about life. My experiences in life have made me the man I am today. I will continue to grow. “I come from a place where we celebrate our past.”
He later added: “I look back fondly. My past was a blessing and beautiful.”
