Brenda Lee is making history!

The 78-year-old singer shot to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with her Christmas classic. “Rocking around the Christmas tree” starting Monday (December 4).

This is the first time the song has reached No. 1 on the chart, 65 years after its release. It is also her third number one hit and first since 1960.

It is now the third holiday number one in Hot 100 history and breaks the record for longest wait since a song’s release to reach number one.
