Bobbie Jean Carter was found unconscious in the bathroom of a home in Tampa

New details have emerged regarding the sudden death of Bobbie Jean Carter on Saturday, December 23. Authorities reportedly found Carter unresponsive in the bathroom of her Tampa home.

The scene is eerily similar to that of his late brother Aaron Carter. Like Bobbie Jean, Aaron also died after being found in the bathroom. According to TMZ, Hillsborough County sheriffs went to Bobbie Jean’s home Saturday morning. They found Carter unconscious and took her to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Carter had some run-ins with the law in the past. Before his death, he was on probation for cocaine possession, according to the outlet. However, people close to Carter reported that she had not used any narcotics since she was released from prison. Additionally, police reportedly found no narcotics or other drug paraphernalia when they visited her residence.

While police did not report any signs of foul play, they are investigating his death. Currently, the Legal Medical Service is awaiting the results of the toxicological report.

Confirmed death of Bobbie Jean Carter

Bobbie Jean’s mother, Jane Carter, confirmed her death in a report to TMZ. She expressed her shock at her sudden passing and said she needed time to grieve.

“I am shocked to learn of the sudden death of my daughter, Bobbie Jean; and I will need time to process the terrible reality of this happening a third time,” she said. “When I can think clearly, I will release a more complete statement; But until then I would ask to be allowed to cry in private.”

Jane Carter has experienced many tragedies over the past decade. In 2012, her 25-year-old daughter died of an overdose. Last year, on November 22, Aaron Carter died after accidentally drowning at the age of 34.

“[H]No matter how deeply a parent feels the loss of a child, a young child’s suffering from the loss of a parent must be much greater,” he continued. “So, I would ask those of you who are understanding to pray for my precious eight-year-old granddaughter Bella, who previously lost her father and is now without her mother as well.”

Bobbie Jean’s sister Angel commented on her passing. “To my big sister Bobbie,” Angel wrote on Instagram. “You had a great sense of humor and a lively spirit. Growing up, I was your baby and you were my best friend. Life wasn’t fair to you, I know that. “Sometimes it feels like you don’t have a chance, no matter what.”
