Death
On 25 May 2022, she was found hanging in her rented apartment in Nagerbazar, Dum Dum, Kolkata by one of her friends, who immediately informed the local police. After this, the local police reached his apartment and sent his body to RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata for post-mortem. The local police found a suicide note from the flat in which Bidisha wrote that she was suffering from cancer. During the investigation, a friend of Bidisha gave a statement in which she talked about Bidisha’s depression due to her (Bidisha’s) troubled relationship with her boyfriend. He said,
She had a bad relationship with her boyfriend, which she discussed with her close friends. She was stressed and sad. We often tried to cheer him up and encourage him to look on the brighter side of life. She was doing well and getting assignments. But she never got over her relationship issues.
