Bhajan Lal Sharma was born on Friday, 15 December 1967 (age 55 years; as in 2023) in Village Attari, Nadbai, Bharatpur, Rajasthan. Their zodiac sign is Sagittarius. After this he received higher secondary education from Government Secondary School in Gagwana, Rajasthan. Sharma’s political journey began during his school days when he joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) through its student wing, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. He later rose to the position of district co-convenor and co-district head of ABVP in Bharatpur. At the age of 27, Bhajan Lal Sharma joined the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) and became the Sarpanch of his native village for two consecutive terms. After this he served as a Panchayat Samiti member of his village.
He then served as BJYM district president thrice under the chairmanship of JP Nadda in the 1990s. After serving with BJYM for several years, he was appointed as the BJP District Secretary. In the 2003 assembly elections, Sharma contested from Nadbai assembly constituency of Bharatpur under the Rajasthan Samajik Nyay Manch (RSNM) ticket. However, he finished fifth by securing more than 5,900 votes, which was 6.28% of the total vote share. Bhajan Lal Sharma later became the president of Bharatpur district unit of BJP and then the state vice president of the party. Subsequently, he was promoted to the position of State Party General Secretary in charge of the headquarters. Meanwhile, he was also elected the leader of BJP legislative party.
Bhajan Lal Sharma was serving as the General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party, Rajasthan for the fourth consecutive time when he contested the 2023 Assembly elections from Sanganer constituency of Jaipur. He defeated his rival and Indian National Congress candidate Pushpendra Bhardwaj. Difference of 48,000 votes.
He was elected MLA for the first time from Sanganer constituency of Jaipur in 2023 and was later chosen as the 14th Chief Minister of Rajasthan by the Bharatiya Janata Party. According to reports, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje had recommended the name of Bhajanlal Sharma during the BJP legislature party meeting.

- In 1990, Sharma played a key role in the ABVP protests where thousands of students from across the country gathered in Jammu. They marched towards Srinagar in protest against the attacks on Kashmiri Pandits in the valley. He was arrested in Udhampur, Jammu along with several other members.
- In 1992, he actively participated in a protest led by Vishwa Hindu Parishad and allied organizations during the Ram Janmabhoomi movement in Ayodhya, when the Babri Masjid was demolished. He was arrested during the protests and sent to jail.
