Beyoncé has officially announced that Renaissance: a Beyoncé movie soon!
Just one day after rumors began circulating that Beyoncé is preparing for the film’s theatrical release by partnering with AMC Theaters, just as Taylor Swift did for The tour of the ages concert film, the film has been officially revealed.
Beyonce shared the trailer just minutes after finishing the tour’s final show on Sunday night (October 1) in Kansas City, Missouri. The audience of the show was shown the trailer right after the concert ended.
The official synopsis says: “RENAISSANCE: A BEYONCÉ FILM accentuates the journey of RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR, from its beginning, to the opening in Stockholm, Sweden, and the end in Kansas City, Missouri. It’s about the intention, the hard work, Beyoncé’s involvement in every aspect of the production, her creative mind and her purpose to create her legacy and master her craft. Received with extraordinary acclaim, Beyoncé’s RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR “It created a sanctuary for freedom and shared joy for more than 2.7 million fans.”
While Taylor’s concert film is expected to be a snapshot of her show, it seems like Beyoncé’s concert film might look more like a documentary.
