Could Affleck’s Batman Return in the New DC Universe?
Affleck’s future as Batman in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC universe is currently uncertain. He has been confirmed to appear in Andy Musquitty’s movie speed Fight alongside Ezra Miller’s Scarlet Speedster and Michael Keaton’s Batman. However, Gunn says that The Flash movie will “reset” the franchise, meaning it could serve as a launch pad for what’s next in the universe.
As for the so-called SnyderVerse, petitions for it to continue elsewhere continue. In the meantime, Snyder recently released a trailer for the upcoming season Alliance justice– related events. The exact details of it are currently uncertain, but it should be enough to get his fans excited about the idea. It’s curious if Affleck is somehow involved in this, but his good relationship with Affleck means it won’t be difficult to recruit him if the filmmakers ask for him.
